The Home Where Amazon Started

Back in the 1990s our cell phones were heavier, Pearl Jam was on repeat, and Jeff Bezos was founding Amazon in his garage.

Since then our phones have slimmed down, Pearl Jam still rocks, and Amazon has seriously outgrown that garage. But, now you can own a piece of Amazon history! The Bellevue home where Amazon was founded has now listed for $1,488,888.

See more photos of the home here!

February 2019 Seattle Housing Market Update

Good news for home buyers, the housing inventory is up over 100% compared to this time last year. If you can remember back to the Spring housing market over the past few years, low inventory was one of the biggest reasons we experienced such a competitive market.

With more homes to choose from, buyers can breathe a small sigh of relief that competition has lessened. But before you put away the gladiator gear, keep in mind we are still in a seller's market. The hottest homes can still fetch multiple offers and sell above the listed price.

Sellers, if you're not sure what actions you can take to make your home a hot listing then let's talk!

Pioneer Square is Coffee Heaven

The joy of representing home sellers all over the city is that we frequently get the opportunity to rediscover the gems of the many Seattle neighborhoods.

In launching our newest Pioneer Square listing we were excited to consult with the owner to learn what her favorite parts of Seattle's "fist neighborhood" are. Her answer...the walk-ability to COFFEE!

We did the research and it turned out that yes, within a short walk to our condo listing in the historic Florentine building there are 14 shops to choose from when selecting your morning brew.
So java heads, bean freaks, coffee addicts, and tea lovers unite...Pioneer Square might just be the ideal neighborhood for you.

Pioneer Square Coffee Shops
Cherry Street Coffee (on 1st Ave before King St)
Cone & Steiner (King & Occidental)
General Porpoise Doughnuts (1st & Jackson)
Callus (1st & Jackson

January 2019 Seattle Housing Market Update

Here's your look at the December housing statistics. While many major news sources have discussed the rising inventory levels we'd also like to point out that last month pending sales were up 4%, indicating a slight rise in buyers as well. This is likely a result of interest rates lowering in December, making home ownership a reality for buyers that may be sensitive to smaller changes in monthly payments.

The housing inventory truly spiked in the back half of 2018 (over 100% higher!). Potential sellers may be wondering then, "should I wait until inventory falls back down to list my house?"

The answer is no. The majority of the existing housing inventory is not newly listed properties. It's homes that listed in September/October/November that have gone stale (and probably need pricing corrections). Homes listing today, at fair market prices, are still selling quickly. Since inventory usually rises in the Spring, we'd advise that listing sooner, with a fair price is a way t ...

The Closing Gift of Giving

If you've bought or sold a home before you might be familiar with the concept of a closing gift. Since the dawn of time (cavemen had real estate agents, I'm sure), brokers have shown their thanks to clients with some sort of gift after closing on a home.

It was our goal in 2018 to revamp the system and align our closing gifts with our values. Instead of wine openers or doormats, we'd set out to thank our clients by making a more lasting impact. We reached out to our loyal Facebook friends and asked "What organizations and charities do you find important?"

The results were amazing! Using the responses from our friends, families, and clients we've adopted a Closing Gift of GIVING!

Now that 2018 has come to an end, we're excited to say that we've given over $2,000 in contributions in our clients' names to wonderful organizations such as:

Seattle Children's Hospital
Mary's Place
Sierra Club
Habitat for Humanity

Thank you to our amazing clients for yo ...
